Leadership

The Rev. Sara Milford
Associate Rector

ext. 819

Sara began her role as Associate Rector in February 2023. As Assoc. Rector, Sara serves regularly in worship, facilitates in various formation offerings, and shares in providing pastoral care for the congregation and coordinating lay leaders in their pastoral ministries. Being available to meet with parishioners and seekers alike to talk about their spirituality brings Sara great joy, and with a practice of holy listening and a heart set on mindfulness, she is able to walk alongside others in faithful discernment and spiritual direction.

With a passion for social justice, Sara works with the Becoming Beloved Community group to support inclusive, antiracist work in the church and wider community, also facilitating the diocesan grassroots group for racial healing and social justice. She also supports St. Paul's in its role in community organizing here in Northwest Arkansas and serves on two boards relating to health care.

Sara graduated from Hendrix College in 2001, and while her children were young, she worked and volunteered in childbirth advocacy. After her various roles in lay ministry and her discernment process here at St. Paul's in Fayetteville, she attended and graduated from The University of the South: The School of Theology (Sewanee) with her MDiv in 2015, serving as curate at St. Luke's in Hot Springs after ordination and moving to Bentonville to serve as Vicar of All Saints' (2017-2023).

Sara and her husband Casey celebrated their 25th anniversary in 2023. They are now watching their four children launch into adulthood and are grateful for the quiet places in nature, music, and books. They always enjoy sharing laughter and conversation over a good meal with friends and family.
